Inspection and Research of Material
Material Lab and Environmental Lab under the Institute of Motor Vehicle Parts Inspection possesses advanced material detection equipment and bears the detection tests and environmental tests of the component materials of the various automobiles, motorcycles and tractors entrusted by the governmental institutions of all levels and enterprises. It offers a great range of services for various metal/nonmetal components and raw materials, such as chemical analysis, metallographic analysis, mechanical property test (including tensile, flexural, compression, tear, compact and adhesion strength tests as well as hardness measurement for metals, rubbers and plastics), coating property test, simulated environmental test (including the detection of the properties such as illumination ageing resistance, hot air ageing resistance, ozone ageing resistance, extreme temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, as well as the temperature/ humidity/vibration triune test for various components), failure analysis, and micro-area composition analysis. It also performs the physical object quality inspection work for the production licenses of the industries such as forging, foundry, heat treatment, electroplating, etc. The Institute of Motor Vehicle Parts Inspection participates actively in the development and research work for the new materials for the parts and components, the certification testing work for the various new component products, the professional training of the physicochemical laboratory personnel, and technical exchange activities. It also took part in the compilation of a lot of books and training materials concerning metallographic analysis, atlas, chemical analysis, etc.
