The Material Testing Department under Motor Vehicle Assembly Identification and Inspection Institute of National Center of Supervision on Motor Vehicle Products Quality (Shanghai) has  advanced material inspection equipments and is in charge of the inspection and supervision of the quality of assembly material of various automobiles, motorcycles and tractors commissioned by the govermental institution of all enterprises, it offers a great range of services for various metal,non-metal assembly and raw materials, such as chemical analysis, metallographic analysis, mechanical performance test, coating performance, environmental simulation test, failure analysis and microstructure analysis. It also performs the physical object quality inspection work for the production licenses of the industries such as forging, foundry, heat treatment, electroplating, ect. The Material Testing Department participates actively in the development and research work for the new material for the assemblies, the certification testing work for the various new assembly products and technical exchange activities. It also took part in the compilation of a lot of books and training materials concerning metallographic analysis,atlas and chemical analysis, ect.
